New wedding venue in France

If you're looking for a wedding in France, take a look at this manor house which has just started offering wedding ceremonies.

Tucked away in the oxygen-rich oak forests of Limousin, Manoir la Croix de la Jugie  is a large, eighteenth century Manor. The owners are now offering weddings in the adjoining tithe barn set amongst six acres of grounds with pastoral views, secret copses and sweeping lawns.

The manor is located half an hour from Limoges and close to the rural village of Saint-Priest-Ligoure, it is a warm and welcoming space and sleeps up to 21 in eight bedrooms, with six bathrooms, ideal for families and friends to relax and turn back the clock.

New for 2016, the Manoir is introducing a full wedding service for up to 70 guests with a sit-down breakfast in the large barn, or a marquee in the grounds for larger parties. Champagne receptions are ideal on the manicured lawns, with the option of silver service catering and live music to party into the night. Wedding packages start from £5,500 for four nights B&B accommodation for up to 21 people, a fully stocked fridge, a concierge service, daily maid cleaning and exclusive use of the Manoir and grounds. Wedding planning can be arranged from £1,000.

Getting there – there are low-cost flights to the nearest airport Limoges (30 minutes away) from £100pp. Trains from London take around six hours and returns start from £100pp. The Manoir will pick-up guests from Limoges airport / station, but car hire is recommended to explore the local area.
